چکیده

Background: Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (ETR) features persistent erythema, flushing, telangiectasia and hyperpigmentation. Our previous study revealed that carvedilol is sufficient to ameliorate erythema with poor efficiency in improving α-hydroxy acid (αHA) treatment intense pulsed light (IPL) have both been indicated improve Objective: aimed explore the impact of αHA combination IPL on Methods: A total 300 ETR patients were recruited randomly assigned into group (n=150, 5 mg bid, twice per day) carvedilol+αHA+ (CHI) as well 30% IPL). The primary outcome CT Inflammation assessment skin lesion, secondary outcomes are post-acne hyperpigmentation index (PAHPI) scores pains, burning itching patient's self-assessment (PSA) scale clinician (CEA). Results: Patients CHI showed profoundly lower lesion than (P<0.01). We found PAHPI strikingly In addition, we also remarkably ameliorated itching. Conclusion: indicates an effective way patients.

The Efficacy of Intense Pulsed Light for Treating Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea Is Related to Severity and Age

BACKGROUND Rosacea is a chronic cutaneous disease. Therapeutic modalities should be chosen based on the identified sub-types and clinical features in each patient. Vascular lasers, including intense pulsed light (IPL), are reportedly safe and effective in treating erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (ETR). OBJECTIVE In this study, we assess the comparative efficacy of IPL related to several fact...

Intense pulsed light (IPL): a review.

BACKGROUND Intense pulsed light (IPL) devices use flashlamps and bandpass filters to emit polychromatic incoherent high-intensity pulsed light of determined wavelength spectrum, fluence, and pulse duration. Similar to lasers, the basic principle of IPL devices is a more or less selective thermal damage of the target. The combination of prescribed wavelengths, fluences, pulse durations, and puls...

Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is one of the most effective nonablative approaches to treat skin photoaging. The broad range of wavelengths (500–1200 nm) emitted from IPL devices effectively target both melanin and hemoglobin in the skin. Numerous trials show the effectiveness and compatibility of IPL devices in a variety of skin conditions, especially in cosmetic indications such as hypertrichosis...

Measuring key parameters of intense pulsed light (IPL) devices.

BACKGROUND Unlike medical lasers, intense pulsed light (IPL) devices are largely unregulated and unclassified as to degree of safety hazard. With the exception of most of the USA, the United Kingdom and parts of Europe, the Far East and Australia, the sale of IPLs is generally unrestricted, with the majority being sold into the beauty therapy and spa markets. Standards are only imposed on manuf...
